This comprehensive online refresher course is designed to update and reinforce essential knowledge and skills for safely working at heights. Designed for those who have previously completed a W@Hs training program and need to refresh their understanding, this course covers key safety principles, procedures, and equipment necessary to minimize risk and ensure compliance with current safety regulations.

Course Objectives:

 Review Safety Regulations: Refresh knowledge of relevant safety standards and legal requirements for working at heights

Hazard Identification: Reassess common hazards associated with working at heights and learn strategies to identify and mitigate these risks.

Equipment Refresher: Update your knowledge on using, maintaining, and inspecting personal protective equipment (PPE) and other fall protection systems.

Emergency Procedures: Review procedures for responding to fall incidents, including rescue techniques and first aid protocols.

Safe Work Practices: Reinforce safe work practices and the importance of proper planning and supervision when working at heights.

Requirements

To be eligible for this refresher course, you will require:

Photo identification: IE your driver’s license, Photo ID, Passport, etc

An RTO-issued Statement of Attainment listing your Work Safely at Heights competency that is less than 6 years old. It needs to list the unit RIIWHS204D (or RIIWHS204E)

In case you don’t have access to your current Statement of Attainment, you can obtain a VET Transcript from your USI student portal. For instructions, click here (https://www.usi.gov.au/transcripts/info-for-students) and select How to view and download my USI Transcript.

To proceed with this course, students will require

a reasonable level of reading and writing English

Be at least 16 years of age
